What Board Games Teach Us About the Economy

Three games, and you'll know everything you need to know about life and the world. First of all, Monopoly teaches us that financial institutions are invincible. The game's banker can't go bankrupt, according to the rules. If he/she runs out of money, more of it can be produced by writing more on blank pieces of paper.
The game of Risk, secondly, teaches us that if you want to be the master of the universe, you had better not go for it all in one turn. Because, if you fail, it will be easy for the next player to wipe you out.
Thirdly, Settlers of Catan teaches us that, in life, you will probably won't be so harassed if you don't live in a popular part of town, and in the end, it's probably best to be located near sheep.
